Demonstration of a 1999 hardcore track, Me Inside, by Slipknot now available, originating from the 25th-anniversary rerelease of their debut album.

Slipknot, the iconic nu metal band, is set to release a 25th-anniversary reissue of their self-titled debut album on September 5. The reissue, led by percussionist and co-founder Shawn 'Clown' Crahan, will be available in 2CD and 2LP packages and includes an additional disc of demos and alternate mixes.

The original album, released in 1999, quickly established Slipknot as a leading light of the nu metal movement. Last year, the band performed the album in its entirety on North American and European tours, thrilling fans with a nostalgic journey back to the band's early days.

The second disc will include the previously unreleased track "Purity". This is not the only surprise the band has in store, as they have also been teasing the release of a new single titled "Long May You Die". The demo version of this song is part of the upcoming reissue.

Crahan, who has been holding onto various recordings and materials related to the band's early days, believes that listeners will be interested in hearing these previously unreleased materials, now that the band's success is well-established. He stated that "Look Outside Your Window", a long-delayed album, has an early 2025 release date. This album was recorded during downtime in the sessions for 2008's "All Hope Is Gone".

In a recent development, the single "Long May You Die" was revealed after the band rented a billboard near Indio, California. The 6LP mega-bundle of the 25th-anniversary reissue of Slipknot's debut album sold out instantly when it was made available in July.

The reissue will offer fans a unique opportunity to delve deeper into Slipknot's early days. The materials included range from DAT tapes from the band's early shows, videotapes from studio sessions, and test mixes that were never released.

In addition to the reissue, Slipknot has also released a demo recording of the song "Me Inside" from their 1999 self-titled debut album. The band's continued commitment to their fans and their music is evident in these releases, and fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming announcements.

Stay tuned for more updates on Slipknot's 25th-anniversary reissue and the highly anticipated "Look Outside Your Window" album.
